Converted Organics(TM) Inc. (Nasdaq:COIN) reported yesterday that Plant Food Inc., a fluid fertilizer formulation company based in Cranbury, New Jersey, is seeing exceptional results for its agricultural customers through using Converted Organics(TM) LC 1-1-1 liquid organic fertilizer in conjunction with other Plant Food conventional and organic fertilizer formulas, especially within the South Jersey farming community. Favorable results have included increased root growth, soil samples containing increased organic matter, and ease of blend-ability between Converted Organics(TM) LC 1-1-1 organic liquid formula, and other fertilizer treatments. “We deal a lot with conventional farmers, who love to add organic products to traditional fertilizer programs, and they’ve discovered great results by adding the LC 1-1-1, including an increase in stock strength, especially with broccoli crops, and a definite improvement in disease resistance abilities,” said Ted Platz, President of Plant Food. “The ability to effectively use an organic product and mix with conventional products is a huge advantage for farmers, and so based on the positive feedback we’re receiving, we now plan to market the Converted Organics(TM) LC 1-1-1 in a much more concentrated way next year, and in the way it deserves per the results we’re seeing.”
Plant Food Sales Representative David St. John, who worked with Mike Garret, Sales Representative for Converted Organics, to facilitate the partnership, said the product has especially been great for the sandy soil that is common in the South New Jersey area. “Farmers in the area are trying hard to get organic matter into the soil, and Converted Organics’ LC 1-1-1 formula has proven to be a very effective way to do so, along with being highly compatible with our products. Mike Garrett is great to work with and very knowledgeable about the market, helping us to get the product into the hands of growers,” said St. John. “Conventional growers recognize the importance of healthy soil, and know this can be achieved by adding organic matter. Also, it’s nice to know you’re helping to take food out of the waste stream and convert it into a great product, so it’s really just a beautiful thing for everyone.”
“New Jersey has some of the region’s most pristine and diverse farm land, with agriculture being a valuable aspect of the state’s economy,” said David F. Flannery, VP of Marketing for Converted Organics. “Being able to provide farmers with a fertilizer product that produces safe, reliable results, and can be effectively mixed with other growth formulas in order to suit farmers’ various needs is crucial. We look forward to continuing to work with Plant Food, which was the first business of its kind in New Jersey, and has a trusted reputation nationwide, to distribute our product throughout the agricultural community in New Jersey, and to expanding within the Company’s network of customers.”
Converted Organics(TM) LC 1-1-1 organic liquid fertilizer is specially formulated to provide growers with a high-quality, fully pasteurized liquid fertilizer product that can stimulate microbial activity within the soil, and is suitable for use on a variety of crops and soils. The product’s liquid form helps add nutrients to plants through the soil, to maximize growth potential and to help build plant immunity and disease suppression abilities.
