NEW YORK, NY–(CRWENEWSWIRE -08/24/11)- GreenHouse Holdings, Inc. (OTC.BB:GRHU.OB), a leading provider of energy efficiency solutions and sustainable infrastructure products, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Life Protection, Inc. (LPI) has been contracted by SAAB Training Systems to provide its rapidly deployable construction technology for an unnamed U.S. Military Installation representing over $170,000 in revenue to the Government Division of GreenHouse.
The project entails delivery and construction of proprietary and rapidly deployable ballistically protected structure(s). Variations of this proprietary technology are capable of withstanding close proximity explosions and protect occupants from direct ballistic impacts in excess of .50 caliber.
“We are extremely pleased to have been selected for this project,” commented Billy Jones, COO of LPI. “We at LPI have been providing rapidly deployable and sustainable building development to the Department of Defense for years now, further proving that the traditional, and more expensive, ‘brick and mortar’ mentality of construction is no longer necessary or viable for a light and agile military.”
“This is a great win for LPI and GreenHouse and frankly for the United States government as well,” said John Galt, CEO of GreenHouse Holdings, Inc. “With significant government spending cuts imminent a shift in the way we look at construction and infrastructure is critical. Sustainable and efficient means longer lasting at a lower cost so we actually see this paradigm shift in the way the military spends as a great opportunity for our company.”
